Better late than never…

Hey hey! Thought I had forgotten, didn’t you? Well, you’re right. I did. So without further ado… my week 2 numbers…

  • Weight: Now 239.4 lbs, Previous 242.8, Total Change -3.4 lbs
  • Fat: Now 39%, Previous 39.6%, Total Change -0.6%
  • H20: Now 41%, Previous 40.5%, Total Change +0.5%
  • Muscle: Now 37%, Previous 36.9%, Total Change +0.1%

Wow…a whole lot of nothing…a little change over last week

This past week, I have continued my running. I am up to 1 minute running and one minute walking for 10 reps. This Saturday, we jump to 2 minutes running with a minute rest in between for (I think) 7 or 9 sets. I’ve not done my 45 min walks at lunch, given the disgusting amount of humidity.

As for diet, I have dramatically reduced the late night eating. I have switched to a 1/3 cup of oatmeal with either fresh fruit or a little honey. I have avoided (for the most part) the fast food. Just eating a little more healthy and paying attention to portions. I have cut down the coffee ( one in the am and maybe one at night) and replaced it with water.

I hope to get better with the food intake this week, totally cut out the late night eating, healthier snacks and continued diligence. I’ve picked up a book on sports nutrition, Nancy Clark’s Sport Nutrition Guide recommended by my running trainer, Sionainn. It’s a dry read, but since I know very little about nutrition, its helping.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? You lost 3.4lbs. That is good, sustainable weight loss. You should be aiming for 1.5-2lbs a week. If you lose more than that, it’s not entirely sustainable and is likely due to something different like water loss.

For your first week you did awesome! Stop beating yourself up. We’re in this for the long haul buddy, not just for the next 3 weeks.
