Belly Back On – Brian’s Week 3 Results

Ugh. I’m not sure what happened to the scale, other than chicanery or perhaps mischievousness. Apparently I’m up in the stuff that I should be down in, and down in the stuff I should be up in.

  • Weight: Now 242.2 lbs, Previous 238.6, Total Change +3.8 lbs
  • Fat: Now 36.6%, Previous 35.8%, Total Change +1.2%
  • H20: Now 41.9%, Previous 42.6%, Total Change -0.7%
  • Muscle: Now 37%, Previous 37.2%, Total Change -0.2%

Okay, I officially call bullshit.

Two weeks ago I did nothing and I lost weight. This last week I did the following things:

  • 3 trips to the gym, where I increased my squat by 30lbs, and my bench by 20lbs.
  • Softball (including interval running) on Saturday.
  • Moved a crap load of stuff from the basement to a storage place.

My diet has been pretty good. Not great, but way better than it was last week! Not a lot of carbs, not a lot of bad stuff. I had some Nachos at the movies last night, but they were high end Nachos with chicken, real cheese, guac, and salsa.

I’m still 1.4lbs down from where I started out…but seriously. My muscle’s down? Fat is up?

Screw you scale. Screw you.

  1. Ryan says:

Those scales are a waste of money.

You have to get some body-fat calipers (use every 3-4 months), a measuring tape (use every two weeks), and a regular scale (use once a week). That’s all the data you need to collect.
